When we walked in, we were the only two customers (more came in later). The person at the register looked like he was manager of the place. He was very nice and was wearing a suit (no jacket) and a tie. Yanfen was very impressed.
In addition to sushi, the place also had other selections including teriyaki and yaki-soba.
You can get a punch card and get your 11th dish free!
Tiffany opted for the Beef Teriyaki and Yanfen decided to be adventurous and got the Chicken Yaki-Soba.

One note for our readers when you go here is to be careful when you leave! Yanfen wasn't paying attention and accidentally threw away her plate.. She has promised to leave a big tip next time...
Final Review
Environment 6/10
There is no doubt about it, this is an Asian restaurant. It's a more classier version since the menu is on a display board and not written. They also have flags and a cool drawing on the wall. The seating is divided in two sections with most seating as little tables. There were also a few chairs at the window. In the corner was a tv with the Olympics showing. We watched synchronized swimming which was pretty weird.
We would recommend this place as a hanging out place, not ideal for a date unless you are an asian couple.
Chicken Yaki-Soba - Yanfen
Oh Yaki-Soba, you so funny! |
I really liked this dish! It tasted a lot like chow mien but with less oil. They gave me so much food! The noodles were cooked just right, not too hard and not too soft. There were also a lot of veggies in it. As I ate, I picked up all the noodles and the veggies fell to the bottom so the half I took home with me had almost no noodles. The chicken was pretty good but I would've liked more.
The meal was pretty pricy but you do get two meals out of it!
Beef Teriyaki - Tiffany
yum yum vegetables! |
The beef teriyaki special was huge! Half of it was beef teriyaki with mushrooms and sauce, the other half was some sort of stirfried vegetable (cabbage broccoli and carrots). There was also a spring roll and a huge bowl of white rice. Considering it was over 13$ I was hoping for a lot of food! The teriyaki sauce is pretty classic, it's exactly what you expected when ordering teriyaki and there are hints of sweetness. The vegetables aren't bad, I'm not sure what they are fried in but it is not teriyaki sauce, but still pretty good! The spring roll was pretty bad, it was luke-warm and soggy. I'm guessing it was sitting around for awhile. The white rice taste exactly what white rice should taste like. I'd be scared if it didn't. The only reason the price was average for me was because it gave me two meals, if there wasn't a ton of food I would rate the price a lot lower.
