Bombay Grill (11/114)

So today we stopped by for some Indian food! Bombay grill is at the far side of Green St. but totally worth the walk. Apparently there are two of them, but all the good coupons are for the other location which is too far for us. They do have a huge menu with various lunch specials that are totally worth the price. The lunch specials usually come with some sort of Indian course with either Naan or rice with a fried potato thing and a small salad (just lettuce and cucumbers) If you are interested in this place check out their website http://www.bombaygrillcu.com/ for their menu!

While we were waiting Tiffany found these interesting pink pamphlets that seemed to give you a free personality test. Of course on the back you find that its sponsered by scientology.... Yanfen and Tiffany were amused at the various questions such as "Do you get bothered by the sound of the wind?" and "Do you find yourself hating children?" As we were the first ones in our food soon arrived!

In the end Yanfen went for the Saag Aloo with Naan bread and Tiffany got the Chicken Curry with Naan.

Final Review

Environment 7/10

It's a small restaurant with probably enough seating for 10 people. It has a pretty homey feeling towards it, probably because all of the decor is of the same color. Everything was pretty clean and the atmosphere felt very professional. Most of the other customers seemed to be out for a work related group lunch. It would probably be a great place to
bring the lab group!

Chicken Curry - Tiffany

The food was pretty good! I really like the chicken; it's pretty moist and adsorbs all of the curry flavor. The naan bread is A+++++. If they ever combined forces with Casablanca, they would make an awesome naan roll thingy. The Naan is soft, rips easily and has a buttery taste, but of course you dip it in the curry to get the amazing flavor. The potato is okay, it reminds me of the fries at Casablanca but denser. I wasn't a fan of the salad; the vegetables weren't very green and they kind of lacked moisture but everything else was great.

Saag Aloo - Yanfen

I know what you all are thinking... the dish kind of look like baby food... However, let me assure you, it taste amazing! It is not spicy at all and have spinach and potatoes. It is an overall good vegetarian dish. For those of you who don't like your food a little.. mushy.. this might not be the best for you, but those who are a little more adventurous should definitely give this a try!

The naan bread is really good and even though it is sooo big I still managed to run out of it before I finished my aloo!

The little fried potato thing was really good too; I wish I had more than one!
